a short new haircut...
... owing to the incessant wailing coming from the boy every morning as I try to (gently) comb out the massive snarls he manages to get in his hair through the night, as he rocks himself to sleep rather violently, as he has every night since he was about ten months old. I decided to give up the fight, at least as long as the hair takes to grow back.
Ok, he looks much too old with that haircut!!!!!

You know, it's funny that this is the "haircut" picture, as a good portion of the hair is cropped out. Plus, it's amazing how much he can look like a Barnard and a Phillips at the same time. Weird.

jack henry just demanded to get his shoulder-length hair cut *very* short - wah! but oh my goodness, it's almost worth it to avoid the morning combing session!
